Muchas Gracias!

Amigos!

This week we had a lesson with a woman named Carolina. We've been teaching her for probably a month now but she's been kind of distant. Yesterday we taught her the law of chastity and when we testified of the blessings that come from keeping this commandment, she got very emotional and realized that those were the blessings that she wants and needs in her life. It was really amazing to see her countenance change when she realized that these things apply to her life personally and that there are so so so many blessings awaiting her!

One thing I absolutely learned (again) this week is that heaven is VERY close and we have more people cheering us on and helping us than we know.

Speaking of that, something really cool about this ward that I'm in is that they get together every week and do family history together. They are seeing so many miracles and receiving so many blessings for working so diligently in family history. Yesterday we had lunch with literally the cutest old couple. They are really involved in this weekly activity, and the hermano, Hermano Hernandez, started chuckling at one point and said "Ha! Satan must be so furious with us! Here we are providing salvation for the dead who he thinks he's already got in the palm of his hand, and here you two are (pointing at Hermana Ruiz and me) taking more people from his power everyday! Haha!" It was pretty cute...and he's right!

Today I got A LOT of emails from people back home wishing me happy birthday. THANK YOU!! Just thank you all so much! :))

I LOVE it here in Chile! It is hard and it is tiring, and it is hot and then it is cold, but it really has been the best experience of my life. I am growing and learning so much and my love for the Savior and His teachings has really deepened. I'm just so grateful that I can be here serving the Lord and people of cute little Chile!

Besitos!
Love, Hermana Siebach

PS - I baked a carrot cake to celebrate my birthday! I'll take pictures and send them next week:)
