The Good Things

Un hombre en una tunica :)
x
Hola!! I have so many things to say and so little time!! Lucky for y'all, I'm doing better at writing in my journal, so if you're a true follower of Chile con Grace-o, you'll be able to read all about it later ;)

The most important thing I have to tell y'all is that I love you and that the church is true. I get a reaffirmation (is that even a word?) of it every time I read the scriptures or say a sincere prayer or pay attention to a talk given. Every time!

Another important thing is that Freddy got baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints this weekend!!! It was a really beautiful thing. Also, he wanted to get baptized in a tunic, so that's what he did! A lot of his family and friends who aren't familiar with the church were able to come, and the peace and tranquility that they felt during his baptism really touched their hearts (they told me!!)

I have been thinking of the unexpected and unknown good things that can come of our experiences. I like to think like that. Sometimes I have days where I just try and try and everyone turns us down and nobody is home and all our lessons fall through and ugh! But I like to reflect and think about all the things that I might not be aware of. The lady who took the card we gave her, but said she was way too busy to talk to us... Maybe she'll find that card in a few months and call that number on the back and her whole life will change! We just don't know. But God knows and he's watching out for all His children.

I love y'all and hope you are smiling and happy. I also want to apologize to the people who write to me that I don't answer. Im tight on time, every time. But that doesn't mean I don't love and appreciate you.

I wanna invite y'all to share your time with someone who might be lonely this week. And every week. But especially this week. And don't say you don't have time. Make time. Someone needs you, I promise :)

Love y'all with the whole part of my heart that's not taken up by the Chileans!!!
Besitos! Un abrazo! Cariños!

Love,
Hermana Siebach

PS - I don't have the good pictures on my camera so I'm sending these. I'll send better ones next week. Maybe.

Plan of Salvation = Happiness

Freddy is getting baptized this week!!! He's so great! You're all invited, Jejejeje😆😍🙌

Thank you for sending so many pictures from your visits with nuestra familia!! SO HAPPY! So many people that I love, my heart hurts!!!! You know how in the scriptures it talks about our souls singing the song of redeeming love? Bueno. My soul sings because of redeeming love, but it sings for a lot of other things too, and one of them is when I see pictures of people I LOVE!!!! So happy.

Dad told me about Uncle Chris and I cried big time. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the plan of salvation. I am comforted by the beautiful plan of happiness that illuminates the mysteries of life and death: why we are here, where we go and who we're with, what we will be doing, and who made it all possible. It changes everything. Christ changed everything. I love Him. What a wonderful truth we know and message I share! Please give all my love to Grandma and Aunt Susan and all their kids and grandkids!

Question for y'all: What is your favorite scripture and hymn?

Also, I was reading in the Book of Mormon in Alma 22:15-16 and I really really like these two verses. Take a peep!

Love y'all a bushel and a peck!

Expiación

Hola!! This week was awesome!!

I had a lot of opportunities to share one of my very favorite scripture passages this week which made my little heart so happy! It's Alma 7:11-13

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.
I have really gotten to know my Savior in the past year and his love makes me cry tears of gratitude. Honestly, I struggle to read these scriptures without crying. His love for us and for the Father is so great that he was willing to EXPIAR (help me out, I cant remember this word in english) for our sins, our weaknesses, or sicknesses. everything. I am so grateful!

I am out of time! Perdón! So sorry! I love y'all and hope you are dancing and smiling and having the greatest week. Share your favorite scripture with someone, yeah?

Besitos!

Love, Hermana Siebach

PS - today I played something called chair soccer in a district activity and i think y'all will really like it!! I will teach you when I get back.

Love you!! Besitos!! Amor!

Freddy is a STAR!

Hey y'all! It's me, Hermana Siebach!

Wanna know something awesome? This Sunday was fast Sunday and also testimony Sunday and guess who bore their testimony? Me. BUT! Guess who else?! FREDDY!!!! I don't know if I have told y'all a whole lot about Freddy. If I have, it was a few weeks back, so I'll tell you again. Freddy is a reference that the elders that were here before us received the day they left the area. So, they called him and set up a lesson, but we were the ones who showed up to it! Freddy is a star and the best ever person-getting-to-know-the-gospel. This week, he got up on the stand and shared his testimony about the blessings he has seen in keeping the Word of Wisdom for the last week. He talked about the miracles and changes you can see in your life when you pray meaningfully and read the scriptures everyday, and then he cordially invited all the ward members to do the same, and also to come to his baptism. GO FREDDY!

I have been learning more about charity and love and patience, and let me tell ya, these things are important. And sometimes we're put in situations where we are tested in these areas EVERY DAY. What are we gonna do? ¿Que haría Jesús? I have been humming the primary song "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus" almost nonstop. It's a good way to remember who my example is and maybe the things I need to change to be a little more like him every day.

  1. I’m trying to be like Jesus;
    I’m following in his ways.
I’m trying to love as he did, in all that I do and say.
At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice,
But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers,
  2. “Love one another as Jesus loves you.
Try to show kindness in all that you do.
Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought,
For these are the things Jesus taught.”
  3. I’m trying to love my neighbor;
I’m learning to serve my friends.
I watch for the day of gladness when Jesus will come again.
I try to remember the lessons he taught.
Then the Holy Spirit enters into my thoughts, saying:
  4. “Love one another as Jesus loves you.
Try to show kindness in all that you do.
Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought,
For these are the things Jesus taught."
Yesterday, I had my interview with President Brotherson and it was really super. At the end, he said "Hermana Siebach, you are such a great person. I can tell you come from a really great family." IT'S TRUE! The last part I mean. SHOUT OUT TO Y'ALL. I would not be anywhere close to where I am today if my family wasn't stock full of amazing examples for me to follow since day one. I love y'all with my whole heart. Thank you for everything!

Amor y Besitos!!
