Tengo Gozo en Mi Alma Hoyyyyyyy!

HELLO MY WONDERFUL PEOPLE! HOW DEEP IS MY LOVE FOR YOU!

In one of my first journal entries of the mission, I wrote something like, "Shoot, I guess the mission isn't all rainbows and butterflies"! BUT! This week I can honestly say it was all rainbows and butterflies. All the weeks are good, but... BEST WEEK EVER! So many miracles.

1. Samuel. Samuel is a less active member who is 85 years old and was bishop at one point, but he stopped coming and has not accepted any members or missionaries into his house in over 15 years. We went to contact him last week and he yelled at us through his window to come back Monday at 6. So, naturally, we went back Monday at 6. We alo'd one time, he looked through the window, and came bouncin' on out to the gate to let us in! We talked about the temple, which he reeeeeally loves, and were able to discuss some things that he can do to prepare and be ready to enter the temple again after so many years. He is VERY excited. Then he gave us chocolate milk and flashlights and we were on our way. GO SAMUEL!

2. We have been working, for probably 2 months now, with another less active member named Marlene and her family who haven't been to church for about 5 years. Since we started visiting them and teaching them, Marlene has not missed a single Sunday and this Sunday, her husband Leo came with her too!!! We had lunch with them about a week ago and set some family goals with them and they are well on their way to coming back and partaking of all the many blessings God has in store for them. SO HAPPY (this one actually makes me cry I am so happy)!!

3. Rubi! Rubi is a tiny little nanny (not joking, she's probably 4.5 feet tall) that takes care of 3 ancient grandpas in a house in our area. We contacted her and she was not really that interested, but we felt very strongly that we needed to share Alma 38:5 with her. So we did, and it was exactly what she needed! She wants us to come back and keep teaching her about the Book of Mormon and all the amazing love and guidance God has given us within its pages. GO RUBI!

4. Last night we got back to our apartment building pretty tired after a full day. The concierge (I think that is just "front desk guy" in English, not sure), Mario, said "SeƱoritas, cuando van a compartir conmigo?" PRAYER ANSWERED!!! He is our friend and is always very nice to us, but he's very busy and there are always people there talking to him. I have been praying to know how we can share the gospel with him, and here was God's response! Mario just came on out and asked us to share with him!! Stay tuned, Mario is de verdad, de OROšŸ‘Œ

5. It's turning into Fall and all the trees are pretty and I don't have to sweat at all time anymore!

Those are just a few examples of why this week was awesome and why I love the mission and just how much God loves us and knows what we need. I love this gospel and the great joy that we can find within.

Other news: yesterday we had cambios! Hermana Briggs and I are staying here in Las Condes together and we are THRILLED! Love her; love it here. My heart's just singin' away😊

I attached some pictures!! I don't really like to take my camera out in public because I'm scared it's gonna be SNATCHED, so they're basically all just in the house, oops! I'll be better about that.

LUB! Abrazos! Besitos! Siguen bailando y cantando y sonreindo y haciendo cosas buenas por sus vecinos y amigos!!!!!

Just Be-boppin Around

Hola Familia!
Thank you for your extra prayers this week mama! They were felt, it was a great week! I don't have much time cuz we had another adventure today!

Here's a cool thing that's happening: My companion and I are Hermana Capacitadoras (Sister Trainer Leaders-- kinda like zone leaders, but for the hermanas) and these past few weeks we did a few things for the hermanas in our zone that weren't a big deal, we just thought it might be nice to do a few things for them. BUT! We later found out that what we did was exactly what they needed and has helped them be happier and work harder and all the good things! It's been cool because we did not think it was anything really, but the spirit was really working through us. That's been one of my favorite things about the mission. I'm just be-boppin around, having ideas and doing them or sharing them, but it's actually something the spirit has prompted me to do and I didn't even realize it!

Love you all!! Have a great week!
Amor y besitos!

Meekness y MontaƱas

whoop!

Hi cute little ones! It's me!! Sorry about my group emails the past few weeks, they've been shall we say, breve?? :( Lo siento!!

I LOVE THE GOSPEL! Wow! These past few weeks have just been amazing. With general conference, the work that we're doing here in Las Condes, and all the things I'm learning from the scriptures and from my leaders... WOW!

General Conference: I loved so many talks, but something that I have already been thinking about lately is what it means to be meek... so I really loved Elder Bednar's talk because he answered so many of my questions and inspired me to study the topic more. (READ IT HERE) Later in the week I was reading in the Book of Mormon in Alma 37 and found verses 33-34! WOW!

"33 Preach unto them repentance, and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ; teach them to humble themselves and to be meek and lowly in heart; teach them to withstand every temptation of the devil, with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ. 34 Teach them to never be weary of good works, but to be meek and lowly in heart; for such shall find rest to their souls."

It mentions meekness, so naturally it caught my eye, but, what I really like is that it says to be able to withstand every temptation, we need to have a great faith in Christ. How can we have this great faith in Christ? Well, I have found that the best way is by getting to know Him and learning about His life and the amazing things He did for us, including the Atonement that actually washes us clean of our sins if we accept His sacrifice and repent. So how can we get to know him? Read the scriptures!!! I have seen a change in my life and in the life of many other people when I and they decided to really commit to read the scriptures everyday. Not just read them, but really internalize them and apply them and make them a part of one's life. This has made it so much easier for me to overcome the temptations that come my way, because I have a daily reminder of what is truly important. I LOVE the scriptures!!!

In other news, today I went from 600 meters above sea level to 3000 meters above sea level to a cool little ski resort town called Farellones! Casual! I also completed 9 months in the mission last week and I am OLD! But it aint no big thang.

There is a cute old little lady in our ward named Hermana Nilo and she just wants to introduce all of her cute old lady friends to the missionaries. Honestly a miracle! We have been praying to be able to work more with the members and she is one of the answers to these prayers!

I didn't eat anything too crazy this week, but this upcoming week an investigator that we have wants to feed us this weird orange sea algae! Prayers welcome!

Love y'all with the whole part of my heart that's not taken up by the Chileans!!!

Besitos! Hope your smiling and dancing and lovin' on the missionaries closest to y'all!

Love, Hermana Siebach
amor!!

Feliz Pascua!

Feliz Pascua!

General Conference was AMAZING. Was it always this good, or has it just been since I got in the mission? jkjkjk I know they were always amazing and I'm a little bit bummed I didn't appreciate them more before. But now I can! And I can go through all the old ones so I can know EVERYTHING!! I really did love it so so much. And it's cool to watch it and not only apply it to my life, but also think about the ways these concepts and talks can bless the lives of the people I'm teaching! It's so different seeing it here in the mission. I want it to feel this special FOREVER!!! I loved Elder Oaks, Elder Bednar, and President Nelson I think the most, but it's amazing because I feel like I learned something really important from every. single. talk. This conference was done just for me!!! I hope everyone feels like that :)

Besitos! Love!
