Something that I don't think I understood very well before my mission is just how much power faith has. Unwavering faith, specifically. James 1: 5-6 says "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." if we ask in faith, without doubting that, oh maybe he won't answer me, he WILL answer us. We underestimate the power of our faith!!! Something that the Chilenos (and maybe everyone, I don't remember) love to say is that faith moves mountains. But we forget that that is actually true! We see in the scriptures and in modern day that MIRACLES happen because of faith. In Ether, the Brother of Jared sees the finger of the Lord because of his great faith. I can guarantee that when he went to ask the Lord to touch the stones and give them light, he had full faith that the Lord could do it. We can do the same!! God is all powerful, he can do anything if we have unwavering faith in him.
This is something that I have been working on and am going to continue to work on, because I know that God can fulfill all of his promises, we just need to have faith and do our part. I've already seen the difference that it is making in my life and the lives of people that I have met here and it is miraculous.
I love how much I have grown in my faith here and I want it to continue every day for the rest of my life.
